Actually I saw a VTVM at the electronics flea market near me in April. It was cheap, as were all the old Tektronix scopes that seem to be there month after month. At the Embedded Systems Conference there were a bunch of companies displaying their USB pods for scopes. A fast multi-channel storage scope is now very cheap, and slow ones even cheaper.
